Overview

Kiryo is a rental operations management tool operated by Kiryo. It helps small rental operators track their inventory, customers, and orders. These terms apply whenever you access or use Kiryo at kiryo.app. By creating an account you agree to them.

Kiryo is a private operations tool, not a storefront or marketplace. It does not process payments between you and your customers, and it does not publish anything about your business publicly.

Account Terms

  • You must be at least 18 years old to use Kiryo.
  • You are responsible for keeping your account secure, including the email account and Google sign-in you use to access it. Tell us at hi@kiryo.app if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
  • One account is for one person. You may not share your login with others or resell access to your account.
  • You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, and for the accuracy of the information you enter into it.

Acceptable Use

Kiryo is for managing legitimate rental operations. You agree not to use it to break any law that applies to you, to store data you have no right to hold, to attempt to gain access to other users' accounts or data, or to interfere with the operation of the service — for example by overloading it, probing it for vulnerabilities, or scraping it in bulk.

You are responsible for complying with the laws that govern your own rental business, including any licensing, tax, consumer protection, and data protection rules that apply where you operate. Kiryo is a record-keeping tool and does not provide legal, tax, or insurance advice.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will contact you first.

Payment Terms

Kiryo has a free tier that requires no payment, and paid plans billed monthly. Paid plans are sold through Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for every transaction. Your payment is made to Paddle, and Paddle's terms also apply to it.

  • All prices are listed in US dollars (USD).
  • Paddle calculates, collects, and remits any VAT or sales tax due on your purchase. Tax is included in the listed price rather than added to it, so the amount you see is the amount charged.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it.
  • If you change plans mid-month, the difference is prorated: an upgrade takes effect immediately and charges the prorated difference for the remainder of the period, and a downgrade between paid plans applies a credit to your next invoice.
  • We may change our prices. Existing subscribers will be given notice before a price change affects their plan, and can cancel before it takes effect.

Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.

  • When you cancel, your paid plan continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Your account then reverts to the free tier.
  • Your data is not deleted when you cancel. You keep access to your items, orders, and customers, within the limits of the free tier.
  • We do not offer refunds for partial months, because you can cancel at any time and there is no minimum commitment.
  • The free tier lets you use Kiryo without paying anything, so you can evaluate it before subscribing.

Data and Privacy

Your data belongs to you. We process it to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms. You can export your data or delete your account at any time.

You are the controller of any personal data you enter about your own customers, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis to hold it.

Service Availability

Kiryo is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. We make reasonable efforts to keep the service running and to keep your data safe, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages, and factors outside our control can all cause downtime.

Kiryo is a record-keeping tool, not a backup service or a system of record for legal or accounting purposes. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose — you can export your data at any time.

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Kiryo is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost bookings, or other indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms as the service develops. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Kiryo after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, you can cancel your subscription and stop using the service.
